Dr Malcolm McKelvie
Dr Malcolm McKelvie graduated from Monash University with honours in 1990 and then trained in Melbourne hospitals and general practices before moving to Gippsland in 1994 where he has worked ever since.
With Dr Janine Payne, he opened Yarragon’s first permanent general practice in many years in 2008. He is interested in providing great care to patients and the community.
Dr Janine Payne
Dr Janine Payne has lived and worked in West Gippsland since 1994, after graduating from Monash University with honours in 1990. She obtained her Fellowship of General Practice in 1996 . She feels privileged to be a GP, in a role that cares for people of all ages and with all conditions.
Janine has also completed extra training at Monash University to be an acupuncturist and obtained her Diploma of Obstetrics . She enjoys being part of the great team at Yarragon Medical that always strives to do their best.
Dr Alison Stacey
Dr Alison Stacey graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2005 with a BMedSci and MBBS(Hons). She completed the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG) whilst working at Sunshine Hospital in 2008, and the Diploma of Child Health in 2009.
Alison attained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2011, and worked in General Practice in Melbourne and Launceston before relocating to Gippsland in 2016.
After having her first child, Alison developed an interest in Breastfeeding Medicine, and qualified as a volunteer breastfeeding counsellor in 2015.
Alison has gone on to further study, has recently qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and is currently working towards attaining a Diploma in Breastfeeding Management.
Alison is a Shared Maternity Care Affiliate with the West Gippsland Hospital.
Dr Tina Teng
Dr Teng’s medical career began with the completion of a double degree in Chinese Medicine (herbal medicine and acupuncture) / human biology at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Melbourne, with clinical placement at the Nanjing University Hospital, China.
Dr Teng subsequently pursued further studies and completed her postgraduate medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin. She was awarded the following degrees of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of the Arts of Obstetrics (MB BCh BAO).
She gained extensive experience in emergency medicine, paediatric, neonatal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology at the Box Hill Hospital after completing her internship in Tasmania.
Ultimately, her calling led her to further training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, working in rural areas and areas of need before qualifying as a Fellow.
Her special interests include women’s health, family planning, paediatric medicine, addiction medicine and minor surgical procedures. Her experience of working in rural settings has imbued skills in providing comprehensive care to the community.
