Dr Malcolm McKelvie

Dr Malcolm McKelvie graduated from Monash University with honours in 1990 and then trained in Melbourne hospitals and general practices before moving to Gippsland in 1994   where he has worked ever since.

With Dr Janine Payne, he opened Yarragon’s first permanent general practice in many years in 2008.  He is interested in providing great care to patients and the community.

Dr Janine Payne

Dr Janine Payne has lived and worked in West Gippsland since 1994, after graduating from Monash University with honours in 1990. She obtained her Fellowship of General Practice in 1996 . She feels privileged to be a GP, in a role that cares for people  of all ages and with all conditions.

Janine has also completed extra training at Monash University to be an acupuncturist and obtained her Diploma of Obstetrics . She enjoys being part of the  great team at Yarragon Medical  that always strives to do their best.

Dr Romey Giles

Dr Romey Giles graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2010 and worked in Glasgow for 2 years. She moved from Scotland to Australia in 2012. After spending 3 years living and working in Melbourne she recently relocated to Gippsland with her family and is thoroughly enjoying living in this area. Her background includes emergency medicine and she is nearing completion of her specialist GP training.

Her interests include sexual health and family planning, and she is active in teaching medical students and research with Monash University at the Rural Clinical School in Traralgon.

Dr Alison Stacey

Dr Alison Stacey graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2005 with a BMedSci and MBBS(Hons).  She completed the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG) whilst working at Sunshine Hospital in 2008, and the Diploma of Child Health in 2009.

Alison attained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2011, and worked in General Practice in Melbourne and Launceston before relocating to Gippsland in 2016.

After having her first child, Alison developed an interest in Breastfeeding Medicine, and qualified as a volunteer breastfeeding counsellor in 2015.

Alison has gone on to further study, has recently qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and is currently working towards attaining a Diploma in Breastfeeding Management.

Alison is a Shared Maternity Care Affiliate with the West Gippsland Hospital.
